Download returns in 2013 to the spiritual home of rock, the legendary Donington Park, from 8th–10th June, 2013, pulling out all the stops for the 11th edition of the heavy rock festival.
Slipknot headline on the Friday night, marking the band's second headline appearance following an explosive set in 2009. The band from Iowa have evolved into something not unlike the alchemists, spiritualists and magicians of yore - the men in Slipknot tap into something primal, instinctual and combustible with each performance, and every album.
Rock icons Iron Maiden are set to headline on Saturday night, bringing their triumphant Maiden England tour to Donington Park on the 25th Anniversary of their first headline performance at the legendary home of rock in 1988. This will also be a record fifth time that the multi-million selling British rock pioneers will have topped the bill at Donington, following two Monsters of Rock performances (1988 and 1992) and two spectacular Download Festivals (2003 and 2007).
The Sunday headliners are industrial metallers Rammstein for their first ever show at the legendary Donington Park. The German monsters of rock last played the UK earlier in the year with critics describing the tour as "spectacular", and "a ferocious industrial music hurricane".
Download are also bringing back the original and best rock experience in the form of their RIP camping and hotel packages, so why not celebrate the Festival's 11th birthday at the most rocking campsite in the kingdom!
