The latest internet sensation, South East London born Alex Clare has been involved with many different bands over the years, playing instruments, providing backing vocals and writing lyrics. Now going solo and signed to Island Records, Alex describes his sound as "mostly down-tempo, there are only two or three songs on the album that are up there." His debut album has been produced by Diplo and Switch. "The Major Lazer cronies put some serious Major Lazerness on Alex Clare's windswept vocals: beefy Nirvana-style guitars with a hint of surf, thin sirens and a little bit of dembow in the beat" – Thefader.com.

'Bakermat, an alias for young dutch producer Lodewijk Fluttert, had a quick rise. In just three months he gained a lot of views, likes and followers with his productions. He allways had an obsession with music, in many genres. The young Bakermat was into jazz and blues at a young age and discovered house music when he was around 12. By fanatically listening to every track that was posted on blogspots he soon had a huge library built up. At the age of 18, he went to the University of Utrecht to study Psychology and to finally live on his own with other students. It was Utrecht that made him discover deep house and producing.'

The Bear's Den story is something of a fairytale, opening with the truly bewitching Austin to Boston Communion Tour of the US in March of 2012, where they shared the stage with Nathaniel Rateliff, The Staves and Ben Howard. From there, the band traveled to a secluded cottage in the Welsh wilderness to record their eponymous debut EP. In keeping with their DIY ethos, the band did everything themselves, right down to stamping each EP with hand carved potato stamps. After a rapid succession of high-profile support tours, the stage was set up for Bear's Den to plunge into the deep end.

The performing moniker of singer/songwriter Charlotte Aitchison, Charli XCX straddles the most experimental and mainstream sides of pop with ease; she's just as comfortable working with cutting-edge producers like Ariel Rechtshaid and SOPHIE as she is touring with Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. As a songwriter and collaborator, she helped create some of the biggest pop singles of the 2010s, including Icona Pop's 2012 smash I Love It and Iggy Azalea's 2014 chart-topping hit, Fancy. As an artist in her own right, her work spanned the edgy sounds of her 2013 debut album, True Romance, to the more straightforward territory of 2014's follow-up Sucker, which featured the US Top 10 single, Boom Clap. Her prolific output also includes a string of one-off singles and two mixtapes, while her third proper album, Charli, released September 2019, features collaborations with Lizzo and Christine And The Queens, amongst others.

Combining Basque folk instruments with drum loops, heavy synths, and lilting vocals, Spain's Crystal Fighters formed after singer Laure Stockley recovered a diary of her deceased reclusive grandfather's while visiting his Basque country home. Inside his notebook was the skeleton of an incomplete opera, with what would become the future band's name as its title. Intent on completing the work and honoring her grandfather's legacy, she returned to London and enlisted the aid of friends Gilbert Vierich, Graham Dickson, Sebastian Pringle and Mimi Borelli, and together they worked to finish his opera. Along the way, they became inspired by the dark, folksy sounds of the Spanish instruments and, combining them with booming basslines, the band was born.
