I Wanna Thank Me UK Tour

The forthcoming tour sees the West Coast rap legend touring in support of his 17th album I Wanna Thank Me, and documentary of the same name, released earlier this year.

I Wanna Thank Me celebrates 25 years of the Snoop Dogg, a career that has seen the Doggfather cement his undisputed influence on music with chart-topping, multi-platinum records, while also solidifying his importance to wider culture as an actor, businessman and more across the board.

The tour reflects this and sees Snoop Dogg enlist a selection of his key collaborators from the breadth of his iconic music career including further West Coast hip hop royalty; Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound, Obie Trice and D12. They will also be joined by the multi-million streamed Irish rap duo Versatile*.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg appearing at this event

Snoop Dogg is one of the most famous American artists and producers to emerge out of the early '90s West Coast gangsta rap scene. With a career spanning nearly two decades and eleven solo albums to his name, Snoop Dogg has sold more than 25 million records in the United States alone, and over 40 million albums worldwide. Now a successful actor, appearing in hit films such as 'Starsky and Hutch', and even with his own TV show, 'Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood', Snoop has garnered a new generation of fans and continues to increase his iconic status.

D-12

D-12 appearing at this event

Detroit hip-hop group whose name Dirty Dozen (aka D-12) belies their six-piece line-up. Formed in the early 1990s, the band included a young Eminem amongst their number; something which cannot have hindered their subsequent rise to fame.

Obie Trice

Obie Trice appearing at this event

Obie Trice went from no one to someone in the rap world quickly when Eminem signed him to Shady Records and executive produced his debut. Born on the west side of Detroit in the Schoolcraft and Greenfield area, Trice began his rap career humbly. He dropped out of Cooley High School in the early '90s and began making ends meet, which wasn't too easy in the cold, abandoned streets of Detroit. His turning point came in 1998 with the birth of his daughter, Kobie. Shortly afterward, he took note of Eminem's breakthrough success in 1999 and began to have faith that he too could make it in the rap game, despite living in wayward Detroit.

Tha Dogg Pound

Tha Dogg Pound was an integral part of the Death Row Records empire, which cast a tall shadow over rap music in the early to mid-'90s, and though the label only released one Dogg Pound album, Dogg Food (1995), the duo's impression remained fairly constant in the years that followed, as the two group members pursued solo careers and occasionally reunited. Kurupt and Dat Nigga Daz comprise Tha Dogg Pound (not to be confused with Dogg Pound Posse, a different and much shorter-lived hardcore rap group).
