Prepare for warp speed once again… set your phasers to stun… and get ready to boldly go where no one has gone before… Star Trek – In Concert returns to the Royal Albert Hall, with Michael Giacchino’s score performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Ernst Van Tiel.
Released in 2009, J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek rebooted this legendary franchise, telling the story of how the crew of the USS Enterprise assembles, with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and Leonard Nimoy.
The soaring and action-packed orchestral score was written by Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino. With a set of all new themes, but also reprising the beloved title melody from the TV series by Alexander Courage – the music does not just break new ground, but also captures and advances the musical universe of Star Trek.
