Comedy Fortress Festival: Dylan Moran, Jimeoin, Shappi Khorsandi, Nish Kumar, Rose Matafeo, Olga Koch, Kai Humphries, Javier Jarquin, Vlatko Stampar, Nikola Simic
A new comedy festival overlooking the Adriatic Sea is opening its doors in July 2019.
Comedy Fortress Festival is an international stand-up comedy festival, rooted in a medieval fortress within the renaissance Croatian town of Šibenik. It will be held on the beautiful open air stage of St. Michael’s Fortress, giving audiences and comedians the full package – a comedy festival with great shows, excited audiences and stunning views.
Swim in the Adriatic, visit nearby islands, journey through the breathtaking scenery of the national parks, taste the best-of-the-best local seafood… and in the evening enjoy the top-class comedy.
The Festival is brought to you by Aquarius Records, London Calling Comedy and The Fortress of Culture Šibenik, in association with London’s SOHO Theatre.

As seen as on Live At The Apollo, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, 8/10 Cats and Have I Got News For You, Shappi Khorsandi is an Iranian female stand-up comic who established herself on the London circuit back in the early 2000's. Feisty, flirty and effortlessly funny, she handles every subject with razor sharp wit. She is also the best-selling author of A Beginners Guide to Acting English and her fantastic debut novel ‘Nina is not OK’ was published by Ebury in 2016.
Shappi was also elected president of the British Humanist society in 2017.

Since beginning his comedy career in 2006, Nish has achieved global success on the stand-up circuit with his rave-reviewed solo stand-up shows receiving huge recognition from industry and fans alike.
Nish is a double Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee, panel show regular, and hosts The Mash Report (BBC Two) with comics Ellie Taylor, Steve N Allen, Jason Forbes, Tom Neenan and Rachel Parris. He has also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra's topical comedy show Newsjack.

Rose Matafeo is a New Zealand-based comedian and TV presenter.
Rose started stand-up at the age of 15 and has since staged five solo shows as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. In 2010 she won Best Newcomer at the NZICF (New Zealand International Comedy Festival), and went on to win the prestigious Billy T Award (2013). Rose has also featured on the 2014 and 2015 NZ International Comedy Gala and has opened for Reggie Watts in both New Zealand and the UK.
Rose is a regular face on TV screens having appeared on Have I Got News For You (BBC 1) in the UK, while in New Zealand Rose is the head writer and star of Funny Girls (TV3) and a regular on panel show 7 Days (Three Now NZ). She has also written and starred on New Zealand comedy show Jono And Ben At Ten (TV3, NZ) where she interviewed the likes of Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Bill Hader, and Amy Schumer. Rose has acted in Liam Williams’ web series Pls Like (BBC Three) and starred in an episode of Tom Craine’s Climaxed (BBC Three).

Olga Koch does stand-up comedy onstage and creates cathartic performance art in the privacy of her own home. She has trained at the UCB Theatre in New York, as well as the Soho Theatre and the Free Association in London. Along with fellow Soho Young Company comics, she runs Joy Multiplication, a monthly comedy night in London. Olga is a confident girl.

Card throwing ninja who has spent the last 4 years working as a professional award winning comedian in New Zealand and Australia. Javier Jarquin moved to the UK in 2010 where he has established himself as a circuit regular and headline act around the country and in mainland Europe.
He has performed on the same bill with the likes of Jimmy Carr, Stewart Lee, Jo Brand and Paul Daniels.
