Never miss another 'Thomas Ades' show
Thomas Ades Conducts: Thomas Ades, Thomas Trotter, City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO)
Stravinsky, Britten… and Thomas Adès. When Britain’s most brilliant living composer conducts these two giants, you’ll hear sounds like you’ve never heard before. That goes double for Polaris, Adès’s own shimmering vision of the night sky. As for the world premiere of a new organ concerto by Gerald Barry, one of our most uproarious musical pranksters – well, who knows? One thing’s for sure though: making history has never been so entertaining!
CBSO+ 6.15pm: A chamber music recital performed by the rising stars of Birmingham Conservatoire.
