Glastonbudget 2016

Grab your tent and wellies, Glastonbudget, the world's greatest and best tribute band festival, is back celebrating its 12th year in blistering style over the May Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend.

If you've never been to a music festival before, either because of cost or travel time, then this 3-day musical mammoth, featuring the very best tribute bands, is far from extinct and bulldozes its way from strength to strength every year.

Ahead of you is the usual fun of the fair, dozens of stalls, all the festival food you can stuff down and a huge real ale beer tent... bliss, right!

But you’re there for the music… There are 6 stages! Tributes to David Bowie, Elvis Presley and Queen headline the main stage this year, then the huge BigTop tent boasts headliners to the Prodigy, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Killers. These two huge stages are filled with real quality tribute bands handpicked because they truly are the best at what they do.

Then there’s the IcOn and the LoCo Stages (Loughborough College), which feature the best of the regions up and coming original bands from the live auditions which we ran for six months; there’s an acoustic stage and to top it all off if you haven’t had enough music by midnight there is a multi-channel silent disco till 2am!

Over 30 of the UK's top tribute bands are performing along with 100 additional artists, many of whom have passed auditions in Leicester. Because there's such a lot going on you will have to pre-pick your favorites, as an act finishes on the main stage, make your way across the fields to the next band and back again as another headliner gears up. It's nonstop and all the better for it.

Glastonbudget is a unique experience. It promotes up and coming bands and artists, it recreates the sights and sounds of some iconic musicians, it's great value for money and enormously entertaining!
