Rock For Spon 8 - The New Saints Featuring Very Special Guest Lee Small

Now going into its 8th year Rock for Spon continues to grow stronger every year, with the support of not only local bands but also local people helping wherever they can so as to provide a well-deserved fund-raising night for Compton Hospice.

The event began after the tragic loss of New Saints bassist and founder Andy ‘Spon’ Spencer when he sadly succumbed to cancer after a hard-fought two-year battle.

By doing what Spon loved most and including people that loved him seemed the most appropriate way to give something back!

For Rock for Spon 8 the band are continuing the theme of involving Spon’s nearest and dearest by proudly welcoming Lee Small into the fold, a lifelong friend of the band and school friend of Spon.

Lee was in several bands with the members of the band prior to his continued successful solo career and with bands such as Shy, Phenomena, Skyscraper & Lionheart, he has also previously appeared at the event with Band of Brothers.

All funds raised from this event are donated to Compton Hospice who could not do enough for Andy in his final hours.
