The Wigan Winter Folk Festival
A day of folk music in various guises, along with poetry and comedy, spread across 3 rooms in the historic Old Courts building.
Starting and finishing with performances by Merry Hell in a hometown appearance for the festive season.
The first set at Midday will be the acousticish band and the event will be finished off with an electric set between 8:30pm and 10:00pm.
In between there will be bands, duos and solo artistes, including Headsticks, The Mather Robinson Band, Skinner and T'Witch, showcase acts from the fantastic Folkstock organisation with more to be announced.
There will be poetry from the award winning Laura Taylor and the Edinburgh Festival returnee Joy France amongst others and stand up comedy from some of the brightest new faces on the scene.
