An Evening With

The most famous astronaut since Neil Armstrong, Colonel Chris Hadfield, will be with his first ever live presentation in Oxford.

Good morning, Earth.

That is how Col. Chris Hadfield, writing on Twitter, woke up the world every day while living aboard the International Space station for over five months. During his stay in space, Hadfield became something of an extra-planetary media star.

He not only tweeted photos, he tweeted Queen Elizabeth, William Shatner, talked to school children, strummed his guitar and provided demonstration videos about daily life on the gravity free station.

On his last day on the ISS, he posted a farewell music video online - a reworking of David Bowie’s Space Oddity. It exploded and went viral, garnering millions of views in its first hours alone.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the astronaut has done 'an absolutely remarkable job as the first Canadian commander of the International Space Station and has brought the miracle of space travel home to Canadians and the entire world.'

An evening with Chris Hadfield will open your eyes to dream the impossible. Together with rarely seen videos from his personal collection– you’ll be mesmerized by the beauty of our planet as seen from a bird’s eye. Don’t miss this highly educational and inspirational presentation from an international icon who is simply, out of this world.

And yes, Chris Hadfield will sing David Bowie’s Space Oddity and more.

Chris Hadfield has two books published, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth and You are Here.
