Cardiff-based stand-up comedian. A versatile comic actor whose character creation 'Rex' is a regular feature on Rhod Gilbert's BBC Radio Wales show, Elis' profile has been boosted with frequent appearances on BBC Radio One Wales, two critically acclaimed Edinburgh solo shows (The Most Cautious Little Boy in Wales – 2009, and Daytripper – 2010) plus numerous appearances on the UK comedy circuit including tour support act for Rhod Gilbert. Paired with comedian John Robins, Ellis also presents a weekly show on Radio X. In addition, their podcast, The Elis James and John Robins’ Show, has become cult listening – gaining them a devoted following, over 14-million downloads and a regular fixture in the podcast charts – and the pair have even written a book together! John is a comedian, broadcaster and voice over artist based in London. He presents a weekly show on Radio X alongside friend and fellow comedian Elis James. 'The Elis James and John Robins Show' podcast has gained them a devoted following, and is a fixture in the top twenty comedy podcast charts. In 2017 they won The Chortle Award for Best Radio. John began performing stand-up in 2005 and was an alumni of the legendary 'Bristol Comedy Flat' alongside Russell Howard, Jon Richardson and Mark Olver. In 2016 Elis and John announced their first major live appearances together. 'The Elis James and John Robins Experience' saw them bring their unique chemistry to venues up and down the country. Demand was unprecedented and tickets for London's Shepherd's Bush Empire sold out in a matter of hours. He is the joint winner of the Edinburgh Comedy Award 2017. Ed Gamble is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Ed has appeared on some of the UK’s most popular TV shows: Mock the Week (BBC Two), Man Down (Channel 4), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC Two), as well as presenting radio shows for BBC Radio One and BBC Radio Four. He won the prestigious Chortle award for Best Compere in 2014. Prior to this, Ed was co-writer and host of the iTunes-topping Peacock and Gamble Podcast as part of his double-act with comedian Ray Peacock. Peacock and Gamble also performed a sell-out UK tour in 2012, which was described as “a triumph of live comedy” (Fringe Guru) and “incessantly hilarious” (The Guardian). “A hugely likeable performer…an excellent comic” (Paul Whitelaw, The Scotsman). “A fully-rounded stand-up fiesta” (Brian Donaldson, The List).
