Shakespeare's Folk Tales
What stories inspired Shakespeare?
A trio of storytellers will share a collection of folk tales, myths and legends that inspired Shakespeare's plays including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and The Winter's Tale. You will hear Irish folktale, Medieval Romance and ancient Norse Saga in a night of tales and scenes.
The Bard himself is your host for the evening, when he and 1623 associate artist Kat Glenn perform scenes from the plays that are based on the tales.
