Guitar Multiverse

Welcome to the Third Stage, the home for their range of spoken word and music events in the informal surroundings of the Theatre Royal's Dress Circle Foyer. The bar will be open so take your seat, relax and enjoy.

Described by BBC Radio 3 as 'virtuosic and committed, with stunning sonic awareness', UK-born Declan Zapala is part of a new wave of concert guitarists, writing and performing music that explores unconventional avenues in guitar technique.

His new show Guitar Multiverse explores the guitar as a percussive instrument as well as an orchestra of sound. With music by Steve Reich, J.S. Bach, Eric Roche, and Declan's own unique compositions, this is a rare chance to see 'one of the most exciting players on the acoustic guitar scene'.
