It’s the biggest show of the week. Relax as our resident comperes lead the way with The Saturday Show. Featuring five different acts on each bill there’s something for everyone to laugh at including the very best comics from the UK and beyond.
With Carey Marx, Lost Voice Guy, Bruce Fummey, Lauren Stone and host Steffen Peddie.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Carey Marx's wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. Formerly in double-act 'Kez and Jodi', a comedy illusion act. Live wire, Canadian comedy magician. Winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival 2009, he blends dark humour with a mischievous, gleeful delivery, 'Marx's slick delivery lends itself to clever verbal comedy, while his flexible features can switch in an instant from cheeky schoolboy grin to menacing stare' (The Scotsman) 'Hilariously demented' (Edinburgh Evening News) 'Excellent' (The Guardian) 'He is a masterful stylist, gracefully switching from surrealism to sardonic irony' (Skinny Fest) 'Anecdotally debauched... But if his lines are frequently sick, they're elegantly written, too, and there's a childlike glee to his naughtiness' (The Herald) 'A darkly comic Quentin Tarantino' (Chortle) 'Opium for the people' (Broadway Baby) 'supremely crafted comedy' (The List).

Lee Ridley (Lost Voice Guy)
BGT 2018 winner Lee Ridley, aka Lost Voice Guy, is disabled but not silent. Born with Cerebral Palsy, complications at birth resulted in Lee losing his ability to speak. Undaunted, Lee started performing stand up comedy in 2012 using an iPad tablet computer, and after an unprecedented meteoric rise and publicity from local and national press, is now headlining comedy clubs across the country. 'A wondeful comedian' (Matt Lucas) 'A very funny guy' (Ross Noble).

Returning to stand up after a 8 year break as a Pro Wrestler has found Steffen a little older, wiser and bigger than before, but still ready to find the lighter side of any subject or audience member thrown at him. Prior to his time away Steffen had been performing for several years in the North of England. An original member of Newcastle Upon Tyne’s "Near The Knuckle" team with such luminaries as Anvil Springstein, Vladamir McTavish, Gavin Webster and Ross Noble, he brings a different approach to whatever venue he performs at. With Ross Noble, the two wrote and performed sketches on ITV’s children’s Saturday Morning show Gimme 5 for a season as well as doing a health and fitness show called Burst! for ITV as well as numerous regional shows in the North East. Now back doing stand up he is one of the regular comperes at the Funny Bones chain of clubs in the North East as well as getting booked as either a 20 to 30 minute slot or as MC in other clubs. He is the worlds first Fat Mime artist and has won the Literature North East’s "New Word Order Slam" “He holds the audience's attention throughout and leaves the stage with me wanting more” - BBC “A fresh emerging Geordie talent” - Metro “Johnny Vegas may still hold the fat gags crown, but Peddie would make a worthy understudy” - The Journal
