Generation defining band Primal Scream are joined by the iconic Happy Mondays in Kent this year at Dreamland, Margate. The once in a lifetime billing will take place at the vintage amusement park on August 5th as part the stellar Margate Summer Series 2023 concerts.
With a musical legacy spanning 35 years, Primal Scream has delivered era-defining albums from ‘Screamadelica’ to ‘Riot City Blues’. The band, formed by frontman Bobbie Gillespie, has created their own unique sound breaking down musical boundaries and spanning everything from psychedelic pop to degenerate rock’n’roll; euphoric rave to industrial gloom.
Formed in Salford, Happy Mondays are known and loved as one of the most influential bands of the 80s and 90s. Acid house, funk, psychedelia and indie collided and with that, the Happy Mondays became an important part of Manchester’s music scene. the Happy Mondays have embarked on world tours garnering international acclaim.
