The Rhapsody Tour 2020
Having well and truly rocked North America with 25 giant shows across the Summer which drew universally ecstatic reviews and played to sold out audiences totalling close to 400,000 spectators, Queen + Adam Lambert have finally announced that they will bring their brand new, hugely anticipated 'Rhapsody' concert experience to The O2 in June 2020.
The all-new Rhapsody show, already hailed as 'a marvel of technical advances', will kick off the new year of 2020 with 17 giant arena and stadium shows across South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The extravaganza will then arrive in the UK and Europe in late spring, as Queen original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor team up once more with longtime front man Adam Lambert on lead vocals.
Since Adam Lambert first shared the stage with Queen for the 2009 American Idol final, his dynamic performances have reinvigorated the band and delighted fans worldwide. Starting as they meant to go on, their first full show together in June 2012 thrilled a crowd of half a million strong in the Ukraine capital city of Kiev. Since then, May and Taylor’s musical fireworks have been matched by Lambert’s vocal prowess and stage presence, making for an explosive combination. Over 200 gigs later, the partnership has remained a commercial and critical triumph, playing to enraptured full houses in every corner of the world.
One of the best loved rock bands of all time, Queen were originally formed in 1968, and went on to achieve huge commercial success - only The Beatles have spent more time in the UK charts. The band split after the tragic death of their iconic frontman Freddie Mercury, and it was only in 2004 that the decision was made to play live as a group again and the band hit the road with Paul Rogers, whose strong voice and experience with other legendary bands (Free, Bad Company) meant that Queen were able to recapture the excitement of their heyday. Queen returned again in 2012, joined by US singer-songwriter Adam Lambert. The band first teamed up with Adam Lambert in 2009 to perform their rock anthem "We Are the Champions" on American Idol's season eight finale. Lambert and Queen partnered again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, and have continued to perform with him since.

After blowing everyone away on the eighth season of American Idol, Adam Lambert went on to release his debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’ which included the international hit ‘Whatya Want From Me’ and earned him a Grammy Award nomination. Adam followed this success with his second album ‘Trespassing’ which became the first album to reach the number one spot in the US and Canada by an openly gay artist. His highly anticipated third album ‘The Original High’ was his first for Warner Bros Records which was executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback and included the smash hit ‘Ghost Town’. Adam joined the cast of Glee for a six-episode story in 2013 and performed the role of Eddie in Fox’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He went on to judge on The X Factor Australia where his artist, Isaiah, won the show. Adam has been touring as the lead singer of Queen (Queen + Adam Lambert) since 2012, including two huge world arena tours which sold out in minutes and gained critical acclaim.
