Roberto Pla

Known affectionately as “The King of Latin Music”, Tito Puente is best known for dance-oriented mambo and Latin jazz compositions that endured over a 50-year career.

Popularising the timbales as his instrument of choice, his classic composition ‘Oye Como Va’ was later covered by Santana to mainstream acclaim, as well as edited recently to become a club track.

Taking on the challenge of being the first musician to honour Puente’s catalogue is legendary Latin percussionist and band leader Roberto Pla, who will be bringing a full big band with him for the occasion.
