Over the last ten years, the West Coast has been a hotbed for the bubbling cross pollination between jazz and hip-hop, with countless artists straddling both genres and melding them into something completely new.

Auteurs such as Flying Lotus and Thundercat have led the way, backed up by jazz cats like Terrace Martin, Austin Peralta and Kamasi Washington, producers like The Gaslamp Killer, TOKiMONSTA, Shlohmo, Nosaj Thing and Daedelus, all culminating in the scene’s magnum opus, Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly.

Drawing upon this rich tapestry, London based sextet Cykada will perform an electronic-infused jazz show that showcases the diverse range of sounds that have emerged from LA over the past decade.
