Through the vast movement of people and culture from Africa to the Caribbean, the rhythms and melodies of Africa were transposed onto a new culture. This relationship was symbiotic, Cuban music becoming a la mode in Western African and starting a whole new musical relationship of mutual assimilation that has endured decades, and from Buena Vista Social Club to Orchestra Baobab, has resulted in some of the most compelling music in the world.

CubAfrobeat is a groove train, travelling between Havana, Cuba and Lagos, Nigeria – fuelled by a London sensibility and utilising the talents of UK’s top Cuban and Afrobeat specialists – 'An inspired musical conversation between two sides of the Atlantic'.
