British Blues Award winners Catfish came crashing onto the blues scene at the start of 2015 with their debut album So Many Roads going straight in at no 1 in the IBBA blues airplay charts after being taken to the hearts of the internet’s blues radio stations. After the death of BB King later in the year, Catfish released a tribute EP called ‘When BB Sings the Blues’ which charted at 5 and of which a reviewer said:

'A captivating release from an immensely talented band and in Matthew Long they clearly have a star of the future in their midst, proving that contemporary Blues is in the safe hands of the next generation'. – Nigel Foster
The new album 'Broken Man', which is being launched at this event, is almost entirely original material written by Matt and Paul. Matt’s roots in heavy rock can be clearly heard in several of his songs, and there are several tracks which will stay in your head for days...
Catfish received two nominations in the 2015 British Blues Awards (emerging artist and keyboards), and followed that with three nominations in 2016 (band of the year, young artist for Matt Long and keyboards again for Paul). Paul was delighted to be the winner of the keyboards category and Matt took third in the Young Artist category.

Catfish have played many of the major festivals in the past 12 months including the largest in Europe, Bluesfest at the 02, on Matt’s 21st birthday in November 2015 and again in October 2016. They have a number of festivals and blues clubs already booked for 2017.
