David Fathers

This 4.5 mile guided walk, is a part of the Totally Thames festival. It goes from the baroque Old Royal Naval Hospital to the Thames Barrier, via the Greenwich Peninsula. It is walk of great contrasts. This once marshy area, devoid of housing, is now rapidly being built over, with 'desirable' riverside dwellings.

The journey (of approx 2.5 hours) will feature:
- The Old Royal Naval College
- The Trinity Hospital
- 'A Slice of Reality'
- The line of longitude splitting east from west.
- The 02 Arena
- Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
- 200 year old working marine aggregate dock
- Thames Barrier and visitor centre.
