An actor and comedian known for being one third of comedy troupe The Penny Dreadfuls. In 2011 he made his solo Edinburgh festival debut with the stand-up show Thom Tuck Goes Straight to DVD where he was nominated for the Best Newcomer award.

John-Luke Roberts is a writer for Radio 4’s The News Quiz, one half of sketch duo The Behemoth, and his first solo show Distracts You From a Murder was called a “brilliant solo debut” by the Independent.

Rachel started performing comedy in 2015 and was a semi-finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny, Amused Moose Laugh Off and Funny Women awards in the same year. She was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award in 2018. She has written for BBC Radio 4’s Newsjack, News Quiz and Listen Against and appeared on the Reasons to be Cheerful podcast, as well as her own comedy/science podcast, Level Up Human. Rachel took a two-hander stand up show The Unfortunate Bisexual to the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe festival with Cerys Bradley. Victoria Melody is a British artist with a background in fine art. She makes one-woman theatrical shows, performance interventions and films mainly about England’s pastimes, passions and tribes. She is now seen in comedy clubs performing her quirkly style of comedy which includes many of her passions. Fascinated by anthropology, she immerses herself into communities and becomes an active participant in their rituals as research for her work. Aside from her work as a beauty queen and championship dog handler, she has also been become a pigeon racer and northern soul dancer. She is currently tracing her human hair extensions back to the humans who grew them.

Since their formation, Shelf have performed at Bestival, London Pride, and been nominated for Sketchfest’s Best New Act award. They were finalists in the Funny Women 2019 Stage Award. Their work has appeared on BBC3 and LADBible. They are founding members of sell out monthly night The LOL Word, which showcases queer women and non-binary comedians from across the London comedy circuit. They are board members of the cult hit Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, with whom they regularly perform in London and Edinburgh.
