TOOT, who premiered their second show Be Here Now during the Shoreditch Town Hall Summer 2014 season, is developing a new performance exploring advertising, brand identity and consumer choice. As part of a research & development residency the company will share elements of the piece during this work-in-progress sharing.

They are conducting a focus group, testing out a brand new product that they believe people like you will want to be seen with. They need your feedback – they'd really value it. Incentives will be provided as an exchange for your time.

Inspired by David Foster Wallace’s short story Mister Squishy, Focus Group will invite you to laugh at the silliness of branding and advertising, while feeling the rise of desperation as their hands reach for your throat… Through TOOT’s unique style of performance the company will be asking you to consider “What really defines me?”
