Join in for a very special screening of Don Cheadle’s acclaimed Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
A crowd-funded labour of love for its star-director-producer Don Cheadle, Miles Ahead follows the trumpeter’s attempts to get his career back on track following a period of inactivity and addiction. Moving in time between the late 1950s and the mid-1970s, this highly acclaimed film’s freewheeling and experimental approach brings together real and imagined elements, mirroring its subject to give us a deeper appreciation of the music.
The evening will be hosted by Miles-ophile and award-winning jazz and hip hop star Soweto Kinch, who will lead an expert discussion about Miles Davis after the screening.
