Granny Takes A Trip: Revisiting The Fashion Of 60s Counterculture

As part of Summer of Love: Revisited, in conversation with Nigel Waymouth and John Pearse, co-founders of the famous and highly influential King’s Road boutique Granny Takes a Trip, which outfitted some of the most stylish rock acts and Hollywood stars of the time. Joining them on the panel are fashion archivist Mark Butterfield and iconic it-girl Jenny Spires.

Rarely seen pieces from the Granny Takes a Trip collections will be modelled, alongside screenings of never-before-seen footage of the boutique from the Peter Whitehead archive.

This will be a lighthearted evening of outrageous style and amazing stories, celebrating the grooviest and most cutting edge looks of 1960s swinging London.
