Classical Music on Film: The Trout

In this special screening event, as part of the Hall’s Love Classical festival, documentary maker and master of music film, Christopher Nupen, will take us on a whirlwind tour of some of his famous music films, featuring memorable encounters with Jacqueline du Pré, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Daniel Barenboim, Itzhak Perlman, Andrés Segovia, Placido Domingo and Georges Bizet. This will be followed by a complete screening of Nupen’s legendary 1969 concert film The Trout which is considered a benchmark for classical music broadcasting.
