Bach Evolution
Please note: Info provided by the Event Organiser
In this world premiere concert, Bach’s Cello Suites are reinvented by young British composer Peter Gregson, with Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson joining to play Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier and other keyboard works. Electronic artist Clark will also be debuting a specially-arranged Bach-inspired composition.
This performance is the finale of Deutsche Grammophon’s 120th anniversary Recomposed series, which sees contemporary composers and DJs reinventing classical works, and which recently saw huge success when Max Richter’s Vivaldi Recomposed took the classical world by storm.
