John Luther Adams

From a Distance is a new work by Pulitzer Prize winning composer John Luther Adams. Taking place outdoors, the performance emerges from a range of points across the Southbank Centre site as the sound of 64 horns rings out over the river and bounces off the concrete of Southbank Centre’s famous brutalist architecture. There is currently a call out for French horn players ranging from grade 5 to post grade 8 to take part, alongside professionals from the UK’s foremost orchestras, in this London premiere.
