So Cabaret: Abandoman, Loretta Maine, Rachel Parris, Shirley and Shirley
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Abandoman create hilarious musical sketches at lightning speed live in front of their audience. No two gigs are ever the same. The project sees frontman Rob and multi-instrumentalist James Hancox reinventing hip hop in a way that appeals to even its most ardent detractors.
They sold out the Edinburgh Fringe for 3 weeks in a row and were winners of the Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year 2010.

'Truly innovative' (The Guardian)
'Killer punchlines. Note-perfect, lyrically mind-blowing hip-hop improv. Genius!' (The Stage)
'A star of the future!' (Time Out)
'For the whole hour we were enthralled by a comedic mastermind at work' (Broadway Baby)
'A proper party. raucous, expansive and relentlessly hilarious' (The Times).

Psycho-intense singer-songwriter Loretta Maine makes Courtney Love look well-balanced. This pill-popping, booze-abusing, bunny-boiling car-crash of a rock star has been the most memorable creation of talented character comic Pippa Evans to date, and is now promoted to both her own show and her own band, Dog Vagina.
'Funniest show yet, with miserable songs with superbly witty lyrics' (Time Out)
'Murderously funny' (Evening Standard)
'Fabulously talented... Her brilliantly realized comedy shows maturity well beyond her years... Her psychotic yet sexy American singer is a thing of hysterical beauty (Time Out)
'Beautifully bitter lyrics... Truly impressive one-liners... inspired, quotable pearls of wisdom... Fine comic writing underpins her flawless, perfectly timed performance
She's a relative newcomer, but has certainly got the talent for a sustained and stellar career in comedy (Chortle)
'Like Dolly Parton seen through the lens of Mike Leigh... she performs brilliantly
observed songs about love, loss and violent revenge (The Guardian).

“It’s startling quite how talented Parris is...hilarious” - Shortcom ****
“Very easy to relate to and naturally funny” - Three Weeks ****
"Tears of laughter, endearingly frank and funny" - Guardian
"A gifted performer - her songs really score" - Times

Shirley and Shirley are writer/ performers Joanna Carolan and Pascale Wilson and writer/ director Michael Pearce.
'You barely have time to recover from the laughter evoked by one sketch before you're clutching your sides at the next one. It's clear that they want to do their own thing and not just reproduce the same old worn out sketches done a million times before' (Three Weeks)
'Take two women, a seemingly endless array of accents and an hour's worth of imaginative sketches. Character observation is clearly this duo's main stock in trade and with such well executed vignettes throughout, it's clear that these two are no amateurs. This show is a riot of silliness, lovingly and confidently honed into a show that shouldn't be missed' (Funny Women).
