May In A Day!
May in a Day! is a fun and exciting event for the whole family! This year's theme is 'The 'Oss & The Ox,' an exciting participatory dance and music piece choreographed by Kate Flatt and composed by Adriano Adewale. Combining English and Brazilian folklore traditions, this event will also feature percussion workshops, arts and crafts, dancing, music making, and more at our popular afternoon festival.
Artist Shelagh McCarthy will guide you in making beautiful masks and headdresses while live music by the Liam Robinson Dance band will accompany other folk events, including English ceilidh and maypole dancing. At the end of the day, watch or take part in a lively performance celebrating a day of folk fun!
