A great Leicester acoustic singer-songwriter, counting Billy Bragg amongst her fan base. She writes indie folk rock songs (a couple with an acoustic punk twist), plays the guitar and sings with a voice that has been described by listeners as similar to Laura Marling, Kate Nash and nothing you’ve ever heard before.
Grace Petrie tour dates
Claiming her first BBC Comedy Award by the age of 17, Josie returned to performing after finishing University, notably at the Edinburgh Fringe, where she carried on winning awards for 'Kindness and Exuberance' (Best Newcomer) and later in 2007/8 for 'Trying Is Good'.
She regularly writes for The Guardian and has appeared on The Island (Channel 4), The Superhuman’s Show (Channel 4), Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central) and Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit.
The Telegraph have described her as 'one of the most exciting female comics around'. Josie's humour is warm, optimistic and endearing, filled with rambling daft tales and all the things she likes in the world and which cheer her up.
'An original and unflagging spirit, oozing enthusiasm and intellect… Long builds delightful comedy worlds' (The Times)
'An absolute delight' (Time Out)
'An original and unflagging spirit... A passion for ideas and creativity... this is a lovely show' (The Guardian).
Josie Long tour dates
Humourous but heart-felt singer-songwriter, originally from Bedford but has resided in the Bristol/Bath area for several years. He's performed shows with comedian Daniel Kitson and supported Belle & Sebastian.
"Gavin Osborn writes minutely detailed, bittersweet story-songs on an acoustic guitar and sings them with a comic timing usually absent from the works of his anti-folk contemporaries. Funny and touching, Osborn walks a similar tightrope to Loudon Wainwright III" - Stewart Lee (comedian), The Sunday Times.
Gavin Osborn tour dates
Known for her observational comedy and songs, Joanna is established as one of the country's top character comediennes.
Joanna Neary tour dates
Described as 'a Jacques Brel for the '90s', Philip Jeays is a critically acclaimed singer / songwriter / pianist / showman.
Jeays carries the influence of Jacques Brel and the Gallic chanson tradition, all bound by a dry English wit.
Philip Jeays tour dates
As one half of the prolific comedy duo Lee & Herring, Richard enjoyed phenomenal cult success as a writer and performer with shows such as Fist of Fun (BBC Two) and This Morning with Richard Not Judy (BBC Two).
Richard completed a 94 date nationwide tour of his critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe show, Christ On A Bike: The Second Coming. In 2010 he also published his book, 'How Not To Grow Up', and released 'Hitler Moustache' - his acclaimed stand up show - on DVD.
'Herring is a superior comedian... Hilarious' (The Guardian)
'The King of Edinburgh... A new Richard Herring show is a never-ending cause for delight' (List)
'Stimulating and exhilarating... Utterly Hilarious' (Chortle).
Richard Herring was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2015.
Richard Herring tour dates
An official Channel 4 survey of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups Ever placed Stewart Lee at number 41. His mother, whom he loves dearly, thinks Tom O'Connor the better comedian, having seen him do a joke about a sardine on a cruise ship ten years ago. And he isn't even in the top 100...
'The funniest, most cliche-free comedian on the circuit' (Ricky Gervais).
'Superlative... Remains one of the best stand-ups in the country' (Metro)
'Marvellously funny: mordant, thoughtful and crafted' (Observer)
'There's a wealth of evidence to suggest that in the last few years, Lee has gone completely mad... More skilful and playful than ever' (The Guardian)
'What is exhilarating is how many surprises he still throws in and how deft his jumps are from one tone to another….invigorating' (The Times)
'He is... the only comedian who can get away with deconstructing and critiquing his own routines as he goes along and not be repellent. He, and his material, are simply that good' (The Independent).
Stewart Lee tour dates
Likened to Victoria Wood and Tom Lehrer for her gloriously silly and twisted songs, stand-up and stories. She is also known for her role as Dobby in Channel 4's Peep Show.
Isy is a long-time musical stand-up noted for her joyful outlook. Double British Comedy Award nominee.
'Comedy with heart and soul' (Chortle).
Isy Suttie tour dates
The former frontman of celebrated late '90s indie heroes Hefner, Darren now has a solo career, which includes songs he wrote in a caravan. His songs cover a range of subjects such as crumbling crafts, dog charities, retiring schoolteachers and air hostesses plummeting to their death.
