Simon Lasky

Simon Lasky is a fine musician who has been at the forefront of the UK jazz scene for some years now. A classically trained pianist and composer, he quickly established a reputation for being an impressive jazz player and a talented bandleader after moving to London in 2000. His style is an interesting fusion of rock, Latin and modern jazz, combined with a classical approach to his playing which adds real depth to his performances. Simon will be launching his new album 'Story Inside' at the club tonight which features great jazz harmonies, expressive lyrical melodies and in Simon's own words will "take the listener on a musical and emotional journey". The recording and the gig tonight will showcase his excellent 6-piece band 'The Simon Lasky Group' comprising Shanti Jayasinha on flugelhorn & trumpet, Luca Boscagin on guitar, Pete Billington on bass, Satin Singh on tabla & percussion and Jeff Lardner on drums as well as special guest Phil Hopkins on harmonica. This promises to be a great night which should simply not be missed.
