Musician's XChange Programme

The 606 Club’s “Musician’s XChange Programme” was founded to facilitate artistic dialogue as well as performance opportunities for British jazz musicians in Europe and European jazz musicians in the UK. It’s most significant partner is the Budapest Jazz Club in Hungary and through this partnership, leading British artists including Liane Carroll and Mornington Lockett have appeared at the venue, while Hungarian musicians of commensurate stature have been featured at the 606.

For this latest iteration, the award-winning Hungarian saxophonist Sandor Molnar, a Jazz studies graduate from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest in 2011 who went on to achieve his masters from the University of Graz, will be leading a brilliant quartet featuring UK-based musicians Gareth Williams, Yuri Goloubev, and Martin France. The music, a mix of contemporary jazz standards and originals, will be an exhilarating example of pan-European collaboration at the very highest level of virtuosity.
