Ian Shaw

Often described as the UK's greatest male jazz singer, Ian Shaw was named Best Vocalist of the Year twice (!) at the BBC Jazz Awards, and is a huge talent with the most engaging personality and an ability to make every song his own. For this 606 performance, he'll be performing material from his upcoming album project, "Shine Sister Shine", featuring new arrangements, of songs written by women or about women. Composers include Joni Mitchell (of course!), Tamsin Archer, Alicia Keyes, Peggy Lee and 606 favourite, Sarah Jane Morris. He will be joined by Barry Green, piano, Mick Hutton, bass & Dave Ohm, drums.
