Leeds’ longest running comedy club returns with a superb bill of the very best in stand-up comedy featuring Jamali Maddix, Lauren Pattison and Andre Vincent

Jamali Maddix joins us for an exclusive club date in a rare break from his world tour. With an assured stage presence and considered material that comes from a fresh perspective, he already has the aura of a hugely successful comic well beyond his years with natural confidence and charm allowing him to tread gracefully across more sensitive topics leaving many of his contemporaries behind.

In his first two years of performing, Jamali won the ‘Comedy Café New Act of the Year’ competition and the ‘Chortle Student Comedy Award’, supported Jim Jefferies before a 3,500 strong outdoor audience in London’s Hyde Park. His debut hour at the Edinburgh Fringe was a total sell out and received rave reviews - all while making it look effortless.

He has also done a plethora of TV shows including, ‘Live at the Apollo’, ‘8 out of 10 Cats’ and his own, multi-award winning series, ‘Hate Thy Neighbor’.

Lauren Pattison is one of the most exciting acts in the country having exploded on to the comedy scene a couple of years ago when she sold out her entire run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her highly acclaimed debut show. It was so popular with audiences that numerous extra shows were added and subsequently sold out becoming one of the best reviewed shows of the entire festival and earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at that year’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Last year she performed at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, New Zealand and Kilkenny International Comedy Festivals and was the only UK rising star invited to the ‘Just For Laughs Comedy Festival’ in Montreal where he set was filmed for broadcast alongside Katherine Ryan.
Her second Edinburgh Fringe show once again sold out it’s entire run, added extra shows and enjoyed an extended run at London’s prestigious Soho Theatre.

Lauren appeared in ‘Comedy Central at the Comedy Store’, ‘Roast Battle’ hosted by Jimmy Carr and ‘Drunk History’ as well as numerous Radio 4 appearances.

Andre Vincent returns to host the show fresh from a summer of festivals including Tramlines, Bestival, Y Not and Glastonbury.
