The Sky Is Safe

The Sky is Safe is a multimedia play with songs. It takes place in the commercial heart of present-day Istanbul. It portrays a series of encounters between a woman and a man, she a Syrian refugee, he a privileged Northern European.

They play out a story both intimate and epic, a story of power and identity, a microcosm of the tension between East and West in the great metropolis where they meet. It will be delivered with the imaginative theatricality which has become a hallmark of Dogstar's work.
