Summer Sounds From Brighton And Hove Music & Arts
Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band return to The Old Market for an evening of high-energy music, this year joined by Brighton & Hove Youth String Ensemble too.
Featuring classic swing numbers from the 30s and 40s through to contemporary funk and soul - Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Miles Davis, Theolonius Monk and Stevie Wonder - something for everyone!
Brighton & Hove Youth Big Band features talented young jazz musicians from across the City and the band's two accomplished young vocalists. This year they will be joined by Brighton & Hove Youth String Ensemble too.
The ensemble has performed several times at the Royal Albert Hall for the Music for Youth Schools Prom and in such prestigious venues as the Japanese Embassy, Inveraray Castle in Scotland in addition to giving an hour long live performance on Classic FM.
