Offering a magical mix of events, from the very literary to the commercial, from the well-established to the mint-new, and set in the grounds of beautiful Pylewell Park in the heart of the New Forest, The Curious Arts Festival will run from 18-20 July 2014.
It’s probably the only arts festival which opens with a cricket match, played in the grounds of the Park between the illustrious Authors 11 and the Pylewell Park team.
Music presented by Communion features Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, Ed Harcourt, Nick Mulvey, Bear's Den, Eaves and Rae Morris.
Further very special guests will be announced throughout the spring with a full music programme for discerning minds revealed later this month.
With everything from the unusual to the original, the Curious Arts Festival will feature an early morning cartoon club for children, a breakfast club with journalists and a broadcaster discussing local and national news, as well as ‘bibliotherapy’, with books prescribed especially for each reader.
Other Curious Events:
Hendrick’s Carnival Of Knowledge · Ghost Stories With M.R James · Immersive Theatre · A Film Tent · Garden Walks · Magic · Pop-Up Bookshop · Song-Writing · Much Amusement For Little Ones.
To ensure guests are properly looked after, there will be delicious food served from dawn ‘til dusk, fabulous bars, and scrumptious afternoon teas. And with easy, free parking, and four events specifically for children on both Saturday and Sunday, families will be more than welcome. Why not BYOT (bring your own tent!) and camp in the extensive grounds for free, or book a luxurious outdoor glamping experience.
