Now in our third year, Bristol’s unique one-dayer returns with a set of new venues, a refreshed outlook and in a new time of the year.
With a firm commitment to bringing you one of the most diverse line-ups of any festival in the UK, Simple Things will take place in a number of Bristol city centre locations and will run from early afternoon right through till 6am. The first of these venues to have been announced is Bristol’s legendary Colston Hall.
All three rooms of the venue will be in use. Using spaces like this to host artists such as Moderat embodies the Simple Things objective – careful curation, creative organisation and optimal atmospheres for these world-class performers. Altogether there will be 11 stages spread around central Bristol to cater for 4,000 music fans all in town to see some of the most talked-about acts in music.
Featuring a number of unused spaces in the city, the festival will be more centralised than in previous years. With a multitude of partners who will be presenting their visions of the music that drives them, the quality will be evident no matter where you find yourself over the course of the day.
The bulk of the lineup has been revealed and can be seen on our lineup page complete with some choice tracks and information on the performers. With all early-bird tickets selling out extremely fast and a superb response to the festival’s change in direction, the reinvigoration of Simple Things Festival has certainly got people talking.
On top of all this, there’s a number of surprises planned to further guarantee that Simple Things 2013 will be a totally unforgettable experience.
