Shuffle Festival

Shuffle Festival is a unique combination of the arts, sciences, culinary and beyond to create a veritable feast for the senses. For nine days from 24 July to 1 August Shuffle Festival will look at the themes of Movement, Migration and Place through film, science, food, performance art, architectural installations, comedy, virtual reality, live music - and everything in between - all happening in London’s most urban woodland, Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.

Live music, performance theatre/dance, comedy and twenty-seven films play throughout the festival, telling the stories of where we came from, where we are and where we are going. The programme is bookended on opening and closing nights with special Q&As: on opening night the award-winning Clio Barnard will talk about her docudrama The Arbor (which was partly filmed in the park), and newly announced for closing night Gareth Edwards will talk about his debut film Monsters.

Over the weekend festival co-founder Danny Boyle will discuss his films 127 Hours and The Beach, and British Sea Power will perform their live score to Penny Woolcock’s archive film From The Sea To The Land Beyond, supported by the Inner Vision Orchestra Quartet - the UK’s only orchestra for blind and visually impaired musicians.
