Hwyl - Green Man

Hwyl - Green Man returns to London to celebrate St David’s Day, bringing Welsh magic and music with Fionn Regan, Sweet Baboo, and much more.

Green Man is delighted to return from the Welsh Wilderness to London with Hwyl - a unique party celebrating Welsh music and culture. They will mark St David’s Day by turning the legendary folk venue Cecil Sharp House into a one day festival straight from the Black Mountains.

From 2pm to midnight on Saturday 28th February 2015, Hwyl will be celebrating St David’s day with a party full of music, literature, and culinary delights, with sets from Sweet Baboo, Georgia Ruth and Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, alongside a traditional Welsh Twmpath. You can expect mythical storytelling, comedy, board games galore, live rugby, and a pub quiz for a real festival feeling. All to be washed down with an abundance of thirst quenching Welsh ales and ciders and tasty traditional grub.

There will also be a chairing of the bard ceremony - a Welsh tradition that celebrates poetry and literature.

Following the success of last year, Hwyl 2015 will be brimming with the weird and wonderful that only Green Man can bring.
