Featuring

Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton appearing at this event

Peter Frampton was one of the biggest arena rock stars of the '70s, making his name largely on the double-LP concert set Frampton Comes Alive! Frampton was one of several '70s rock artists (Kiss, Cheap Trick, etc.) to break through to a wide audience with a live album; much like the others, he'd recorded several previous albums and built a following through extensive touring, in the process honing an exciting concert presence. He remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British band The Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. In February 2019, Frampton announced he was suffering from the progressive muscle disorder inclusion body myositis. This diagnosis instigated a farewell tour in 2019 called Peter Frampton Finale, concerts that coincided with the June release of All Blues, a record where Frampton dedicated himself to covers of classic blues songs.

10cc's Graham Gouldman

10cc's Graham Gouldman appearing at this event

Probably best known as one of the founding members of 10cc, Graham Gouldman has been a successful songwriter since the '60s, with his songs providing the soundtrack to so many teenage memories. From his first songwriting hit 'For Your Love' recorded by The Yardbirds in 1965, through catchy tunes and lyrics for The Hollies and Herman's Hermits in the '60s, a decade of hits with 10cc in the '70s and early '80s, songwriting partnerships with Kirsty MacColl, Suggs from Madness, Andrew Gold, Gary Burr, Tim Rice and – still contributing to those teenage soundtracks – co-writing with McFly on their Number One album Wonderland.

KT Tunstall

KT Tunstall appearing at this event

The BRIT awards winner of Best British Female Solo Artist of 2006 needs little introduction these days - the evidence of her success is unavoidable in Britain today. By her own testimony, her rather personal and reflective music is rooted in her adopted childhood; 'I grew up knowing I could have had a million different lives. It makes your life mysterious and your imagination go wild.' She's earned a solid reputation as a live performer and also pioneered the use of live sampling in chart music, which features significantly in her concerts with the use of a pedal she refers to as 'Wee B**tard'.
