Rewind/Remix Summer School

Young people can be free of their parents and carers and join a week packed full of performance, film-making, dj-ing, animation and dance. There are three local artists working with the group; DJ Jim Reiss will have them remixing tradition music hall songs to give them a thoroughly contemporary style. Artepreneur Irene Lofthouse will put her circus and dance skills into practice as well as introducing prop-making, storytelling, mime and song. Alison Booth brings 'multimedia storytelling' using a combination of visual art, animation, puppetry and film-making.

The group will work toward creating their own performance at the end of the week which will be presented on the world-famous City Varieties' stage for their family and friends. Rewind/Remix is a great opportunity for young people to learn new skills, meet new friends and generally have a great time at the start of their holidays. For ages 7-11.
