Join the National Youth Choir of Scotland as it presents a patriotic programme of Scottish songs, including John Gardner's dynamic settings of eight poems by Scotland's favourite son, Robert Burns. The exquisite contrast between the vigorous opening songs and the achingly beautiful 'My Luve is Like a Red, Red Rose' perfectly complements Burns' lyrical writing style. The work flows gently through a playful, waltz-like movement and delicate Scottish love ballad before a brisk, atmospheric march and exultant finale.
