Brits Awards nominee Jess Glynne will be heading to Carlisle Racecourse on July 8th as they present another one of its summer extravaganzas during the flat racing season.

The Rather Be singer shot to fame as the vocalist on Clean Bandit's smash-hit track in 2014. Since then she's become one of the biggest British acts in recent years.

Her number one charting debut album, I Cry When I Laugh, has turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year. Jess is also one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles.

She said: 'It’s going to be great fun playing Carlisle Racecourse on July 8 after the races. I love outdoor shows and can’t wait to share some summer evenings with my fans.'

Geraldine McKay, general manager at Carlisle Racecourse, said: 'To attract and secure such a major artist is absolutely fantastic and we are very proud to be working with Jess Glynne for 2017.

Given the great catalogue of music and her amazing live performances to date, I am sure this will be one of the best shows we have seen at Carlisle Racecourse.'

Alongside the open-air gig there will be six race card earlier in the day.
