Music Ensemble workshop lead by Porthcawl Rock Club.

Call for 14 to 25 year old singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers, percussionists and keyboard players who want to take on the challenge of forming a band and perform live at the Wales Millennium Centre.

The workshop aims to introduce young musicians to a range of routines, exercises, techniques and working practices used for ensemble, rehearsal and performance.

The participants will be engaged in a series of activities exploring perception, and practical exercises including the blending and interaction of vocals and instruments, in order to develop understanding of the functionality of timing, dynamics and articulation, within a song structure.

Activities will be focused around the arrangement of various contemporary jazz, rock and pop songs.

The workshop culminate with a live band performance on the Glanfa Stage, and bands will be offered further support and additional showcase opportunities.
