Award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Julia Biel is blazing a trail on the British music scene blending vocals reminiscent of the greats of jazz's golden age with a poetic yet conversational lyrical style, sharp perspective on contemporary life and love, and accessible chorus-led song-writing.

Since spearheading a wave of British vocal folk/jazz with her pioneering and self-produced 2005 debut album 'Not Alone', co-written with folk/jazz guitarist Jonny Phillips, Julia Biel has now released a new and altogether bolder album full of self-penned material.
