One of the finest young pianists of the Russian school joins the Moscow-based Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra in a rare performance of Tchaikovsky’s Second Piano Concerto: romantic pianism on the very grandest of scales. But if anyone can find the tender heart of this epic concerto it’s Pavel Kolesnikov – praised by The Sunday Times for the “affection and élan” of his Tchaikovsky.
