Once upon a time, a composer wrote a fairytale for orchestra! With every action in the story depicted in glorious orchestral colour, it’s no surprise that Peter and the Wolf has long been loved by children and grown-ups alike. Prokofiev uses the instruments of the orchestra to tell the story, and to bring his characters to life – animal and human!
