Bach’s St Matthew Passion is more than one of the mightiest of all sacred works; it’s a profound human drama, and a heartbreaking musical exploration of timeless hopes and sorrows. Ex Cathedra’s Choir and Baroque Orchestra celebrate the Birmingham Good Friday tradition with an intense and dignified retelling of the Passiontide story.
